We had a few crazy winter storms.  The average snow fall yearly is 93 inches.  This one storm was more than 12 inches all at once.  In the picture, it is compacted onto of my car.

And then..... as quick as it comes... sometimes it melts just that fast!   We took advantage and went out looking for Geocache's This one is a micro and it is our first Geocahe.  It was hanging from fishing line, tied to the storm grate!
Winter Wonderland party at our local library.
We got to pet a hedge hog!!

It was very loud and surprisingly smelly.

Going back a little, this is something new I tried this year.  I put together a North Pole Breakfast for the kids the first day of December to kick off our advent.
Had some fake snow, because at that point we had none outside.
started the Elf on the Shelf thing, but it is impossible to do it and be honest with the kids, so I scrapped it.  The elves never moved from the bucket and book and all soon took a trip to the donation bin.
i rolled up clean white sock for an indoor snow ball fight.
And we do an new book / theme for each day in December.
Leona giving Olivia some love.
Our wish lists and gifts list..
Our advent calendar I made 3 years ago fashioned after Pottery Barn Kids.
This is what I started out with for Advent.  I pared it in half and tucked the other half away for next year.
We made  a count down chain.

Holly wreaths for the windows.
