Flat Lisa from Plainfield Indiana. I'm doing my first Flat Mom Exchange! Yay for some Mommy fun!
Arrived just in time for craft night. We have craft night on Wednesday nights. We started doing this over a year ago now and are still holding strong. This is one of the things that keeps me going as a Mom. I make time to do this every week, and it really makes a difference in my life. Craft night was started from the Mom's group that I belong to, so all of our children are around the same age. This week was special, it was my dear friend Jenn's (the usual host for craft night) 3o th birthday!
Normally craft night goes from 7pm til around midnight. So it was perfect for a "night out." We all got together and brought the party to Jenn.
We all wanted to go on a wine tasting tour together, but can never get our schedules to coordinate. Someone is always busy or out of town, so we had a mini wine tasting of our own! Yum. The birthday girl is in the center wearing blue. I'm the one on the right, wearing pink.
I got very little done at craft night, so on the weekend, we took the kids to a local park. While they played- I worked on my lists. I'm a list person, so I'm working on a list for a craft fair in September and a list of things to get ready for preschool. I'm home schooling my twins and the daughter of a friend. She is two months younger then the twins.
This is my secret to getting some "work" done. I love their coffee! So we bought the munchkins hoping to get some quiet from the kiddo's and get away with out having to make an actual breakfast. This back fired. The kids were all over us, presumably to get more munchkins? And they weren't very filling so the kids were hungry in no time. So half a list later...
Here is the view- I think this direction is toward Fairport- I think. We just moved to Penfield last October and LOVE it. We love our house. We love our street. We love our neighborhood. We love the village. It has been a wonderful blessing to have found this place.
I am working on fabric barns and houses for the craft fair. The kids love them. I've had some trouble working out the pattern this time around though, so it has made it go twice as slow as the first time I made these.
